This course is for you. In these bite-sized videos I will walk you through a step by step process to **fit more French into the cracks of your schedule and learn faster.** ### ⚠️ Oldie but Goodie ⚠️ This is the very first e-course that I created, back in 2017\. So it will look different from the rest, but don’t worry, **its content is still accurate.** ## Introduction [Download your workbookworkbook+-+find+time+for+language+learning.pdf682 KBdownload-circle](https://www.frenchfluency.net/content/files/2026/01/workbook---find-time-for-language-learning.pdf "Download") ## Step 1: Audit your schedule **Homework:** This week, fill out the “Audit your schedule” pages in your workbook. ## Step 2: Identify available time ### Types of time - Free time **Homework:** identify all your “**free time**” slots and mark them in **green**. ### Multitaskable time **Homework:** identify all your “**multitaskable time**” slots and mark them in **pink**. ### Recyclable time **Homework:** identify all your “**recyclable time**” slots and mark them in **yellow**. ### How much time do you have? **Homework:** **Categorize all the time slots** you have identified and write them on pages 5, 6 and 7 of your workbook, in the first column. ## Step 3 - Identify the constraints ### How to study a language without life getting in the way: ### 4.1 Constraints in free time **Homework:** **Complete the “constraints” column on p5.** Write down anything that can affect your language study negatively during the “free” times you have identified. ### 4.2 Constraints in multitaskable time **Homework:** **Complete the “constraints” column on p6.** Write down anything that can affect your language study negatively during the “mutitaskable” times you have identified. ### 4.3 Constraints in recyclable time **Homework:** **Complete the “constraints” column on p7.** Write down anything that can affect your language study negatively during the “recyclable” times you have identified. ## Step 4 - Identify your energy levels **Homework:** Complete the **“energy levels”** column on p 5,6 and 7 with +/- ## Step 5 - Make your learning plan ### 5.1 Identify possible activities **Homework:** Download the language learning activities list from the button below. **Find possible activities for every time slot** you identified. Choose different activities with different frequencies. Ideally you would want a daily vocabulary review and a focus study session at least once a week, and two more activities which can be taken from the multitasking or recycling pages. **Copy these into your calendar.** ### **5.3 Have a back up plan** **Homework:** **For each of your activities**, make sure you **choose a 2nd possible time**, at a later time and with constraints that are no worse than the first time you chose. Write these under back-up plan, so you can be sure to complete your study, even if your original plan fails. ### 5.4 Make use of unexpected free time **Homework**: **Choose at least one “unexpected free time” activity** which you can carry around. Write it down in the frame “unexpected free time” p8\. **Make sure you have this activity at hand** (e.g. an app in your phone) for next time life gifts you unexpected free time. ### 5.5 Rewards **Homework** \= choose rewards you will enjoy on p9 ### 5.6 It works if you work it! **Homework:** Follow your learning plan this week. Enjoy! ## Step 6 - Assess and fine-tune **Homework** : **Assess your plan on p10.** How did it go? If it didn’t go well, **swap things that didn’t work for things that might work better.** ### Last thoughts: ## Congratulations! You completed this course!
